Pg.145 - (An Interview with Safdar Hashmi by Eugene Van Erven, 30 April to 4 May 1985): Safdar had reservations about Badal Sircar's 'Third Theatre'. Though he wrote some major plays in Bengali he had done harm to the peoples theatre movement in the country. Pg.145 - According to Safdar it is more important for adherents of Badal Sircar to do theatre in the certain way rather than to do it for a certain cause. He had created a cult and tried to glorify his own sacrifies. Pg.146 - In Safdar's opinion Badal Sircar built a personal myth around himself and he worked in Bengal with forces opposed to the left front government.
